A world-class education for young people in Newham

On the 1st September 2022, Newham Community Schools Trust becomes Newham Community Learning – further to our merger with the Leading Learning Trust – which consists of Portway and Selwyn Primary School in Plaistow.   Ongoing updates to our website reflect this merger.

Newham Community Learning is a local Trust, committed to working together as a group of excellent schools serving our community.  We share a common vision of providing an exceptional education for all our students, from aged 2 to 16.

Our six schools in the west of the London borough of Newham are thriving, with very positive outcomes, which makes us one of the highest performing Trusts in the country.   We have a shared commitment to working together to provide a world-class education for young people in Newham, and to further developing as centres of excellence for teaching and learning.

We are highly ambitious for our students, and believe that every young person can succeed.  Our students are supported by our committed team of teaching and non-teaching staff, all of whom are encouraged to pursue their own learning and professional development across our schools.

Our schools all provide safe, calm learning environments, where all members of the school community treat each other with kindness and respect.

We look forward to hearing from you; please use our Contact Us page to get in touch.

Interested in joining our team?  All our openings are listed on JobsGoPublic and TES, and on the vacancy pages of our school websites.  Trust Central Team jobs can be found by searching for ‘Newham Community Learning’ on TES [or email the CEO’s PA on ceo.pa@ncst.net should you have any queries].

Working in partnership, whilst maintaining the distinctive local ethos and identities of our individual schools, was one of the core founding principles of our Trust when we formed in 2015. Partnership continues to shape the way we work, as does:
